I love what I do. I love making people feel and look beautiful. I love getting to know all

different types of people who I may have never had the opportunity to meet. I love seeing all of them on a regular basis, sometimes for an hour or two every month. Although my goal is to remain professional, many of us have a connection since we’ve “been together” 15 + years.

This is the reason why I am concerned about many things that are happening in our industry. I highly recommend the movie, The Real Hair Truth, by Joseph Kellner. Although it contains some unnecessary bad language and bikini strutting ladies (which in my opinion, do nothing for our professionalism – sorry Joseph, you know I love you!) the message is one we need to spread especially among our fellow beauty professionals. One subject that the documentary deals with is diversion. Diversion is when a professional product that claims to be salon exclusive is sold in grocery stores, drug stores or anywhere besides at a salon. Hard working stylists and salon owners invest in a particular product line, use and promote the product line to their clients and basically are the sales force for the product line. If their client can then go online or to the grocery store to buy the product, the stylist/salon gets nothing for all their effort. Only the manufacture of the product line and the “store” that sells the product, gets the benefit.

Instead, I did it out of depuration looking for a pure healthy product that worked in a professional manner. Since I wasn’t able to find what I was looking for I decided to “make” my own. truly a family owned and operated business. We hired a family – a formulator who works primarily with his wife to create most of our wonderful formulas. We didn’t start big, we don’t have major investors and we did not want to go in debt. We had a decision to make.

Shear Miracles by Robyn ~ Organic Salon Products are what they say they are – salon products. Here we found ourselves in Lancaster, PA working out of a small 600 square foot studio with only 2 stylists. Clients loved our products! The word was spreading quickly and soon we began receiving phone calls for sales from people, who lived in towns 4 – 6 hours away, who had heard about our products through word of mouth. Then, some of those same customers started telling their stylists about Shear Miracles and we started getting calls from salon owners about how they could get our products in their salon. What a great opportunity! We didn’t have capital for the marketing materials, a sales reps force, advertisements in the most popular beauty industry magazine, you get the picture. We decided that word of mouth was the best advertisement, so we went viral. Of course, our product line wasn’t in every major city yet or even every state, for that matter. We knew that if we could just get people to experience the difference that our salon quality, 100% organic & wildcrafted product line would do for them, we could fill a needed niche’ and they would fall in love with the product too! We started selling retail to customers with the promise that when a salon started retailing our line in their area, they would have to buy their SM products at their local salon.

Success! Many of our salons hear about our product line from their clients who love Shear Miracles already. Clients bring our products into their stylists to have them use them. The stylist then experiences them firsthand. We offer any of our retail customers $100 worth of FREE SM products (our choice) as a thank you for introducing us to the salon that they frequent, when the salon decides to use and retail our line. Then, they purchase all future SM products from that salon. We add the salon to our website on our Find a Salon link & then send all future customers who live in their town to that particular salon to buy their SM products. (As we grow, we have plans to incorporate this policy into our website, so that before a customer trys to by something, they will be directed to go to the salon in their area to purchase it.) So far we have had only positive results! Salon owners and stylists are happy because we are consistently sending them new clients. Everyday more customers find us on the internet, buy, experience and fall in love with our product line. It is a win-win situation. We care about and are grateful for all of the salon owners and stylists that use and promote Shear Miracles by Robyn ~ Organic Salon Products and as many of them can attest, we do everything to help them succeed.

When you “Join the Organic Revolution”, as we like to say, you are joining an extended family. Each of us making a positive change for our industry. We promise to try our very best to give you the purest products possible with the most professional result without compromising our values and standards. This not only includes our beliefs as to our choice of ingredients and the prices we charge, but also our integrity to our profession as it pertains to diversion. Our main goal is to provide our fellow hairdressers and their clients with top-notch pure products while making a decent living doing something that they love.
