What about Alpha Hydroxy Acids?
Don’t be fooled by the “natural” Alpha Hydroxy Acids! Other names listed on labels: GLYCOLIC ACID, GLYCOL ACID,GYLCOLIC, GLYOCLIC ACID, GLYCOLIC ACID Glycolic acid is a high concentration of sugar fruit acids which causes the skin to be burnt. It is not just a simple fruit acid in its natural concentration!
- It accumulates in the skin & causes pitta problems in a short time.
- Anything derived from sugar, as glycolic acid, is GMO unless specified organic- which the industry that would produce glycolic acid is positively not using. GMO has many, many short & long term negative effects on the skin, body & even DNA gets transferred to the future generation from the mother using/eating GMO products.
- Glycolic acid will eventually cause the aging of the skin since the high acid content, now accumulated in the skin, makes the cell loose moisture- this is the main cause of aging.
- All that burning, even if you cannot feel or see the immediate effects, disrupts the inner balance of the person. More stress, even if caused by irritation… more aging. It is the modern world’s quick fix answer just like a pain reliever for the headache. Did you know as more of this drug accumulates in the system, more headaches are experienced? A never-ending chain of recurring events, in ignorance!
As you can see, Alpha Hydroxy Acids have many health concerns. Here are a few more:
- Photosensitizer- with potential to increase risk of sunburn & skin cancer by intensifying UV exposures in deep skin layers
- Skin sensitizer- can instigate immune system response that can include itching, burning, scaling, hives, & blistering of skin
- Gastrointestinal or liver toxicity hazards
- Kidney toxicity hazards
- Neurotoxicity hazards neurotoxin
- Skin or sense organ toxicity hazards
- Penetration enhancer - alters skin structure, allowing other chemicals to penetrate deeper into the skin, increasing the amounts of other chemicals that reach the bloodstream
